I bought a 1987 755 MFWD with a 60" mid mower a couple months ago, the right side of the mower deck is solid black from the exhaust blowing on it, I just repainted the deck tonight, is there anything I can do to re-locate the exhaust to prevent this?

I Just bought a 1988 755 as well about 1 week ago. I got the 70 loader, 60 inch deck 550 tiller and front blade. Of course being I just bought it the deck looks fine all clean and I probably won't be cutting much grass with it this year since my lawn is not in yet. One question I had was if the deck can be adjusted to raise higher? ....

It's sort of a saw-off. Bring the exhaust vertical and then it goes in your face and wives complain that then the laundry smells like diesel. I think I've heard of more people moving vertical exhausts to the side than the other way. I even saw a Ford 1910 used by a neighbouring township that had the exhaust running straight out the front (guess they don't plan on a loader).
I don't know if there are any factory kits available for rerouting exhaust systems. Most anything can be done even without a factory kit. There’s always flex hose, and most anybody competent with a torch can bend and weld steel pipe to run in a pretzel if required. A simple solution like getting a 50's chrome auto tail pile extension (one cut at an angle so they didn’t blacken bumpers) might work. Even mounting a deflector on the deck itself might work. However, I would be careful of adding any additional weight onto the existing exhaust pipe unless it is supported in the middle of the pipe. If all the weight is on the manifold end, any additional weight on the pipe end might crack the manifold over time.

TomG had some good ideas, and he is right, no matter where the exhaust comes out, noplace is the perfect place. But the amount of soot you describe sounds excessive.
A tune up may be in order.
Plugged injector nozzles, valve adjustment, injection timeing, or maybe a little of all three can cause excessive soot. Even something as simple as a plugged air filter can be the culprit. I'd check it out. ....
